The Mobile World Congress 2018, one of the largest exhibitions for the mobile industry, took place in Barcelona from 26th February until 1st March. Among featured technology developments in the ever-growing mobile production, Internet of Bees’ partner, Irideon, presented some traits of the IoBee project to the public.

Irideon presented IoBee in the Congress as per invitation of the European Commission, who has also tailored an event for guest companies to benefit from networking and coaching sessions. As a winner of an SME Instrument, namely the Fast-Track to Innovation (FTI), Irideon was one of the 79 enterprises from all over Europe invited to join the Congress and present its developments. The IoBee partner joined the discussion on the future of IoT technology and presented its current and future applications for insect monitoring.

Thanks to the application of IoT, IoBee is currently working in the technological advancements to disrupt the beehive monitoring market and achieve unique solutions. Mainly targetting beekeepers but also expanding its benefits to all stakeholders, IoBee’s objectives cover much more than single beehive monitoring. Instead, goals reach much further, trying to provide a new way for beekeepers, researchers and decision-makers to have accurate and timely information.
